Eddie Smith

Eddie has worked for Manchester City Council for over 15 years and is currently the Strategic Director for Strategic Developments, a post that he has held for over 3 years. Prior to this he was the Chief Executive for New East Manchester from 2008 until march 2012 overseeing the regeneration of the eastern side of the City during what was a very difficult time in development. Prior to this Eddie held various Regeneration and development related roles in the council.

Matt is the Managing Director of Muse Developments – one of the UK’s best in mixed-use development and urban regeneration, with a forward development pipeline of £2.5bn. A true national developer, Muse delivers innovative places and spaces through collaboration, bringing together the best of the public and private sector to drive transformational change and maximise community benefit.
Matt has considerable experience of commercial, residential and mixed-use development and through a highly focused and driven team.
Matt is also on the board of The English Cities Fund, a £200 million mixed-use regeneration vehicle owned by Muse, Legal & General and Homes England. Muse also acts as the development manager for the fund.
Matt joined Muse in 1990 as Development Surveyor, was promoted to Development Director in 1995 and joined the Board in 2001. He was appointed Managing Director in 2018.
David Roberts

Igloo
David has over 25 years’ experience in the development, construction and facilities management industry and for the last 10 years has specialised in sustainable urban regeneration as a Director of igloo Regeneration. He has been an assessor for the RICS Assessment of Professional Competence, external examiner for the University of Central Lancashire and a judge for the RICS Property Management Corporate Social Responsibility Awards.
In addition to his igloo Directorships David has been a Commissioner on the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors’ Presidential Commission on Sustainability and National Sustainability Panel Member of the Government’s Sustainable Development Commission. He has been a Design Review Panel Member at MADE, the Architecture Centre for the West Midlands and is currently a Member of Design Review Panel at Places Matter in the North West of England. Last year David was invited to be a Commissioner on the RICS Land & Society Commission and has been an Associate Director of the Sustainable Development Foundation since 2008.
