Our forthcoming London breakfast is our annual London RE investment breakfast forum (with BPF). The topic is “Finding the Alternatives”. In an increasingly competitive Real Estate market, the continuing challenge for major investors is to identify opportunities that optimise returns and deliver growth above traditional Property market benchmarks.
‘Alternatives’ are increasingly seen as a route to achieving investor ambitions and these in turn open up opportunities for both the UK economy and have an impact across the Property and Construction sectors. According to JLL, ‘Alternatives’ transactions totalled £15.7bn in 2017'; the forecast is for this to grow by £10bn over the next 2 years.
So, what is on the shopping list for investors? What is on their radar? Build to Rent, Social Housing, Retirement Living, Infrastructure, Healthcare; are just a few of the sectors, that are emerging.
We have a stellar panel to answer these questions and more. Paul Brundage heads up Oxford Properties Europe, the RE Investment arm of OMERS, one of Canada’s largest pension funds. Helen Gordon is the Chief Executive of Grainger plc, the UK’s largest listed Residential Landlord and a specialist Build to Rent investment company. Andrew Jones runs LondonMetric Property plc, investing in retail-led distribution, out of town and convenience retail. Finally, Sadie Malim is head of special projects and legal at Moorfield Group – a UK RE private equity fund manager investing in a broad range of RE sectors. Sadie has 10 years’ experience in the UK alternative asset market, from student accommodation to senior living etc.
We look forward to seeing you on April 27th!
