The South West has been one of the leading UK markets outside London across all types of sectors and has responded well in the face of the huge challenges posed this year. The region sits high on the UK table for foreign investment and will play a key role in the government’s recovery agenda in the years ahead. High profile and hugely exciting developments across the region including the smart campus at Gravity, Cheltenham’s Golden Valley Development and the continuing regeneration of Bristol’s Temple Quarter Enterprise Zone vividly highlight the South West’s drive to remain as one of the UK’s most progressive and productive regions.

As we all know, the global property market has experienced huge disruption which everyone is working hard to respond to. The South West is not alone in facing this challenge. How these impacts are being felt, and how the region’s development market responds and reboots will be at the heart of our next panel discussion on the South West on 12 November.

Chaired by Avison Young’s national head of planning Jo Davis, our panel includes Duncan Cumberland of Muse Developments, Claire Pearce of Gravity and Generator Group’s regeneration development director Jason Schofield. Between them, the panellists have led some of the region’s most high profile and genuinely transformational schemes, and continue to do so today.

The discussion will have DESIGN, PEOPLE, TECHNOLOGY at its core and we’re keen to explore the some important questions. How can the right numbers of homes be delivered? How is the commercial sector shaping up? How can we collectively respond to changes that businesses and communities are grappling with?

It promises to be a fascinating session. We hope you can join us.
